CHARACTER

So many people respect "the title", but not the character of a person.

A few years ago, I had the privilege of being a part of several meetings, and conference calls with an International Ministry. After one of the meetings they went around the table, and thanked the Pastors that attended. One of the members came up to me, and gave me a hug. She said, "I didn't know you were a Pastor; you're so humble, and I've never seen that." She went on to tell the Apostles that were there, how humble I was.

As I looked back on my encounter with this woman during the day; I remembered that I was the first to arrive, and helped her sweep up the floors and tidy up the bathroom. I asked others did they need anything to drink or eat, and I served them.

I'm not big on titles, unless someone tries to address me as a Ms, when I am a MRS. I've studied the life of Jesus, and before I was ordained as a Pastor I operated my ministry, and served others. He is the only person I ever wanted to be like, and strive to. He is the Leader that all other leaders should follow. And he is the Christ, that all Christians should be.

Spiritual Leaders are called to serve. Jesus washed his disciples' feet, and wanted all those that wanted to be healed to have access to him.(Not the other way around) He loved children, and knew it is in them the truth would carry on. He was also, despised by religious leaders, and did not look the part, or had the right social affiliation.

Matthew 13 54-56 NIV
Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked. “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” And they took offense at him.

I believe your character supersedes your title, and GOD feels the same way. I respect all people, but know that some people don't care about getting better, they care about looking better.

In 2014, the glitz is not glamorous and everything that glitters is not gold. People have to get to the point where they look in the Bible to see their debt has already been paid in JOHN 3:16-21, and the guidelines already set.

Be careful of the wolves...

Jesus said,
“Be wary of false preachers who smile a lot, dripping with practiced sincerity. Chances are they are out to rip you off some way or other. Don’t be impressed with charisma; look for character. Who preachers are is the main thing, not what they say. A genuine leader will never exploit your emotions or your pocketbook. These diseased trees with their bad apples are going to be chopped down and burned. Matthew 7 15-20 Msg Bible

The Burning Brush

Are you one of those people that love to speak your mind? You have something to say, and you want to be heard. I'm the same way too, but over the years I've learned to control the urge to just say it. Instead, I pray about it.

I've learned that everyone receives information differently, and some people you have to reiterate what you're trying to convey three different ways to ensure your message is understood.

In 2014, people desire to have many things change in their life from finances to relationships, and everything in between; and they do so in their own strength, and fail. They fail, because they're overlooking the message that GOD is trying to convey to them in many ways.

The truth is, "GOD's message for our lives", and it can be scary, as well as, offensive to some If they're not ready to let go of their own methods to cope with life. One method could be using food or sex to comfort you when you're feeling alone, or depressed, and those feelings are from unresolved trauma in your life.

I am pretty sure it's offensive in a way to tell someone that their not ready for a relationship, because they have unresolved baggage, or not quite settled in their own life, and now they want to drag somebody else in their mess, "because that's not selfish at all." Or they just don't need to buy another thing, or they eat too much, cuss too much, lie too much, smoke too much, or just negative about everything and everyone; when you don't have a rapport with them.

BUT GOD our Father who is in Heaven has an invested interest in us. He sent his son to Calvary, to pay the sin debt with his life; so that we would have life, and life more abundantly. Our Father is so merciful, he will allow us to go through bad relationships after relationships, and bad dates to worse. He will allow us get busted on some of those tall tales, and let the weight pile on, and the debt accumulate for us to get to a point that we can hear him, and trust him to be free.

In His Love

Pastor Aisha

Simple Prayer:
LORD, help me to see the burning brush in my life, that I may go, and do what you called me to do, and that I may have the strength to let go of my fears, and old habits. I ask that the Holy Spirit come into my life to guide me in Jesus Name Amen.

Proverbs 19 Msg Bible
19 Let angry people endure the backlash of their own anger;if you try to make it better, you’ll only make it worse.20 Take good counsel and accept correction—that’s the way to live wisely and well. 21 We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God’s purpose prevails. 22 It’s only human to want to make a buck, but it’s better to be poor than a liar.23 Fear-of-God is life itself, a full life, and serene—no nasty surprises.
