Don’t fall for Samson or Delilah

Judges 16 4-5
Sometime later, he fell in love with a woman in the Valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah. The rulers of the Philistines went to her and said, “See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels of silver.”

Judges 16 15-19
15.Then she said to him, “How can you say, ‘I love you,’ when you won’t confide in me? This is the third time you have made a fool of me and haven’t told me the secret of your great strength.” 16.With such nagging she prodded him day after day until he was tired to death. 17. So he told her everything. “No razor has ever been used on my head,” he said, “because I have been a Nazirite set apart to God since birth. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as any other man.”
18. When Delilah saw that he had told her everything, she sent word to the rulers of the Philistines, “Come back once more; he has told me everything.” So the rulers of the Philistines returned with the silver in their hands. 19Having put him to sleep on her lap, she called a man to shave off the seven braids of his hair, and so began to subdue him. And his strength left him.
20. Then she called, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!”

In a moment of weakness one can begin to rehearse aspects of their life with a new leading lady or man.

What appears as deja vu is a familiar spirit seeking to torment you with haunting images and heartache from your past.

The emotional damage will give you the impression that you will always attract this type of person because insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

Stop visiting your past through your invisible black book and gravitating to soul ties.

Repent and ask the LORD to sever all soul ties in Jesus Name!

It is unfortunate to discover later in life that your type has been the strongman keeping you from the Proverbs 31 woman or the man after God’s own heart in Ephesians 5:25.

Your type is a form of the perfect man or woman that has an outline, but no detail in regards to value.

Your mind has to be renewed to put on the new man or woman and act on God’s righteousness, instead of your own agenda to bring about change.

Ephesians 4 22-24
22. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23.to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24.and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Every person will communicate (verbally or non-verbally) and act according to their heart.

Matthew 7:18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.

In the mist of it all you are worthy to be loved and flourish in love regardless of your past mistakes.

1 John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Dear Brothers do not allow the Delilah in your life to passively mislead you and expose your weakness to keep you captive by seduction from your Proverbs 31 wife.

Proverbs 31 10-12
10. A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
11. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
12. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.

Dear Sisters do not allow the Samson in your life to cast you as a feature only in his life, and consider you as another conquest. (Seek the Kingdom and desire the leading lady position as a wife).

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

The shackles of your misguided Heart has kept you in bondage way too long let Jesus set you free today.

John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Be Well in Jesus Name
