Are you Faith Strong?

Psalm 27:1
A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Sometimes it seems that unwavering Faith is impossible to obtain in a world that's resisting to the idea that one can simply stand on the WORD of GOD to experience real change in their lives. I can assure you with every fiber of my being that the LORD is real, and that Jesus is sitting at GOD's right hand. It is a fact that I will give my life for.

On September 1, I was almost hit by a car while out riding my bike. It was in the evening and I was highly visible. The car would not yield. I took the light from my bike, and shined it into the vehicle, and it still would not stop. I was not able to ride on the sidewalk, because cars were parked on the curb on both sides, therefore blocking my way to get over. The road was very narrow. I hit both brakes and flew from my bike to the ground. The driver got out, and came over to me. He was around 17-19 years old, and appeared to be under the influence. I asked him, "Why didn't you stop?" He said, "You should have been on the sidewalk." I briefly explained that as a cyclist I am able to ride my bike in the road, and have to adhere to all duties of the road that apply to motor vehicles. He didn't say a word. He walked away, and left. A few neighbors came out, but did not offer to assist me. I had no feeling in my left arm or hands. I managed to ride my bike home by the grace of GOD, and my husband took care of me.

It took me 14 days to recover. I had no broken bones, or fractures. I was diagnosed with elbow bursitis, and experienced limited mobility in my arm. On September 16, the Doctor gave me the green light to resume exercise and told me to ease back into my fitness routine. I did 20 laps in a 25 meter lane at the pool that day and then 16 laps in a 50 meter lane two days later. What I realized is that my level of fitness made it possible to recover well. Before my accident, I could swim a mile in 42 minutes. My Faith in GOD, and myself to care for his temple assured a speedy recovery. I was not bitter during the time I was recovering, and I continued to give my best to my family, and ministry.

Friends,

If you’re not Strong in your Faith, before the storms hit, you will not be able to withstand them to recover well. That's why there are so many broken leaders, and believers in the church. They are functioning, but not producing the nine fruits of the spirit - love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. They focus so much on themselves that they stop looking to GOD through Jesus.

Just like my neighbors who came to see what was going on, but offered no aid to me, it is like that in the church. People are actually delighting in the bad news of others. I can assure you that those that do not come to the aid of their brothers or sisters with a kind word, a prayer of relief, or aid will begin to experience a dry season in their life. This behavior is not OF GOD, and one cannot justify it by any means.

I encourage you to become Faith Strong by picking up your bible, and reading it daily, going to church or a bible study, and connecting yourself with a body of believers that desire to see you Living the Kingdom Life. The storms in your life are not designed to break you, but build you up in your most Holy Faith to prove what is that Good, and Acceptable, and Perfect will of GOD.

Confess that weakness that's preventing you from becoming Faith Strong, and then Affirm GOD's WORDS over your life, and he will DO IT!

Here are a few questions to determine your level of Faith?

What is the first thing you do when you're faced with a difficult situation?
Are your storms a result of sinful behavior?
Do you encourage, or help others when you are going through hardships?
Does your attitude change towards GOD, and others that are doing well?
Do you become withdrawn?
Do you blame others for what's going on in your life?
Do you trust GOD totally or is it limited?
Do you become self-loathing?

The More you LIFT others up, the More You become Stronger!

Proverbs 28 NLT
13.People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy. 14. Blessed are those who fear to do wrong, but the stubborn are headed for serious trouble.

Psalm 32:5 NLT
Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, "I will confess my rebellion to the LORD." And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Interlude

Psalm 37:3 NIV
Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

Romans 12 Msg Bible
12 1-2 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Colossians 3:8 NIV
But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

1 John 4:20 NLT
If someone says, "I love God," but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don't love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?
