Friends,
I want you to know that I know how hard it is to do the right thing in a hostile situation. I know what it feels like to deal with invisible resistance, formidable resistance, and resistance that's designed to immobilize you.
In every situation I examined my options and the choices I made to contribute to the situation because even a RIGHTEOUS choice has (consequences) . You see, we all have choices to make. We can run with it, pass it, hand it off, or make a lateral move. I tend to always run with it until grace leaves the situation, then I wait on GOD to make a lateral move. You see difficult situations are truly designed for us to make the wrong choice. Its very nature is hostile. It wants us to explode, feel hopeless, or do things out of desperation, but with GOD, we are always given a way to escape to a better state.
It was true for Moses and the red sea. It was true for David when he took out Goliath and it was true when Jesus died and rose again.
Friends,
The lateral move is the one the enemy does not see. He may have staged the scene, but he's not the director. God is, trust him! Be grateful even for your troubles and be consistent with your temperament to receive your reward for them. I have come to accept the fact that everything I go through is an example of his love and grace for all those who need to be encouraged to hold on to their cross. It is by living in the spirit and not by the flesh I have been able to overcome all that has been laid before me. Who would not want this Abundant (Better) Life?
Pray, examine your heart, and your choices and trust the director! Do not lose your way.
In His Love and in His Service,
Hebrews 12 2-3 Msg Bible
Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!
