God did not design us to be everything to everybody; he designed us with his will, and purpose in mind.

Beloved,

No one can fill the void that lurks about in your inner being, but GOD.

He alone is the I AM.

When we seek happiness, fulfillment, and peace from a person, place or thing we become idolaters by perversely reverence an object instead of the CREATOR.

He alone is worthy to be praised, and adored.
He alone is worthy of our whole heart, mind, and soul being subjected to his will, and no other.

He desires us to have a HOLY relationship with him.

Idolatry is a sin because it puts an object before GOD, and his standard for HOLY LIVING.

Idolatry can be found in a marriage, in friendships, in ministry, in music, and many aspects of life.

It causes one to compromise the truth for a lie.

Idolatry is simply replacing GOD, because it is the work of the flesh.

Idolatry causes one to look away from GOD, instead of to him.

Beloved,

There is no substitute for his love, his peace, his protection, his mercy, and his grace. There is no other way but Jesus.

John 15:1
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.

Ask the LORD to show you what has become the object of your affection and bring the idol down with the WORD of GOD by declaring:

I shall have no other gods (people, places and things) but YHWH.
I will LOVE you LORD with all my heart, soul and mind and yield to the Holy Spirit for guidance and perfecting. Forgive me LORD for my ignorance and I lean no longer to my own understanding or others’ but will search your WORD for answers as well as prayer. I fall out of fellowship with the spirit of the flesh and ask that the HOLY Spirit have its way in me. In Jesus’ Name… Amen.

  1. Remember we are second and so is everyone else in our lives.

    Mark 12
29“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.e 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’f 31The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’g There is no commandment greater than these.”
